In this production proposal I have created a mind map for my 'how to' video project as well as a storyboard as a start to my pre-production. I will be using various shots in my video, this includes close up shots, medium shots, extreme close ups and more.

The locations that I will be filming will be both the college and my home, I will also be doing risk assessments for both locations to ensure that everything is safe for shooting.

Once the location recess and risk assessments are done I will go and create a script based on what I'm doing the 'how to' Video on, and if i'm i need of another participant I will ask if they wish to join me in shooting the film and give them a permission to film form to fill fill out prior.

Once all the pre-production is finished and documented on this webnode, I will start filming my video project.

And once the filming is finished I will be uploading all the files to my computer (or any computer i need to use) and open up Adobe Premier Pro to begin editing and cutting together the 'How to' video.

Once the video is edited and ready to publish, I will upload the video to youtube and get a link to said video to post onto my webnode, once that's done I will go and write down my evaluation of the project, what i did and how i could've done better.

Canva

In this project I used a free graphic design website called Canva, which is used to create various graphic designs varying from documents, logo's, presentations, posters and mindmaps.

MindMap

I created a mind map as a start on my pre-production of the 'How to' video project.

This mind map specifically is for a tripod setup how to video that I will be doing for level 3 project 1.

I used a mind map graph that I had gotten from a free graphic design platform called Canva (this is also the same website I used to create my storyboard as well).

Storyboard

I created a storyboard for my 'How to' Video on how to setup a tripod.

down below is a rough storyboard on how the 'How to' video will be recorded and played out.

This was done by using a free website called Canva, A free graphics design website used to create various sorts of designs.

I Created a more updated version of my storyboard which holds a bit more detail than the original version.

We were also given some images to use as examples of what to use for our storyboard.

The examples being various images of a Zoom H4n.

Shot list

Location recce

Location 1: Home - I'll be doing some parts of the pre and post production at home.

Location 2: college - I will also be doing the other half of both pre and post production at college as well, and this is both recording and editing.

Location Recce: Media Studio Room 131

Scouting: Good location to film, has a green screen wall which could be used, spacious room.

Photographic Evidence.

The room is a perfect pace to commence production on my 'How To' video project.

Dimensions

The size of the room was not too small nor too big, it is exactly what I need for filming my work production.

Lighting

The Media Room has a mass of light switches as well as a set of lights of the ceiling that can be used for professional filming, and some light stands to use for three way lighting.

Safety

The area is most definitely safe, the only hazards that can be found here are some slip and trip hazards as well as some loose wires.

Restrictions and legal Matters

The Media Room is part of the college and can be accessed by any college student that wishes to use it for their projects or lessons.

I will be doing Risk assessments for both locations where I'll be filming and editing.

Script

I Will be creating a script for this project by using either celtx or Microsoft Word and post screen shots of it here as evidence for my project work. 

I will do a voice over both during and after recording my tripod setup.

Below is the script I will be using for my How to video project, this script was put together by using a website called Celtx which I have used for previous college related work projects.

Permission to Film

I will hand out permission to film papers to other students, family members or friends outside college if I wish to include them in a project and get their consent to be filmed in it.

This is not a requirement for this project as it is a how to guide which I'll be doing by myself, But if I need the extra help I will hand these out when needed.

Planning

Text Version

Title "How to setup tripod"

Establishment shot of the room with the tripod in the centre of the shot.

Get a panning close up shot of the tripod both setup and pre-setup.

Cut to folding out tripod legs.

The cut to the nubs of the legs and extend the top one of each leg.

Do the same process to the other nubs on the legs until it is fully extended.

Check the tripod is perfectly balanced.

Get a camera and unlock the the top of the tripod to get a special screw.

Attach the special screw into the bottom of the camera.

Place camera on top of the tripod and lock the top of the tripod.

Use the camera stick on the tripod to adjust the camera.

Turn on camera.
