Evaluation

Here is my evaluation for my Project 1 how to video.

As my first project for level 3 media, I was tasked to create a Webnode to document my work related to the project, we began doing research on camera angles, tripods, audio and lighting for the first few weeks of college.

During our research on these topics we also did some video and audio recordings of what we had learned and uploaded them to Webnode under their respective pages, once we had done the research for our project the pre-production for our 'how to' videos began.

We were also tasked with finding three videos related to what our how to video is, as for me I was doing  a how to video on setting up a tripod and had to find three videos that I myself would have to review. After watching the videos I wrote down in detail what the videos purpose was, how was it done and what forms of editing effects were used.

Once I had reviewed these videos I then cited these videos by using a website called MYBIB for Harvard referencing them in my bibliography page.

On my pre-production page I wrote down my production schedule at the top of the page with some details and added information on how I will achieve my 'how to' video recording and what I'll need.

I also have information about Canva, which I used for my storyboard and my mind map, I added a shot list of what camera angles and shots I'll be using in the film as well as a detailed location recce of the rooms I'll be doing the video in and filled out two separate risk assessments for each location of filming.

And finally for the pre-production page I have my script, Permission to film information and a simplified version of my planning that I used as a base for what I was filming.

Once I had filled out my pre-production page, I moved onto my production and created a new page on my Webnode to document it, I made a simple production schedule for myself and once I had started and finished recording I documented what I did and how I recorded the filming session, I also describe how I exported the files and uploaded them to edit and publish.

I also provided screenshots of my work as well, and once I had finished my first how to video I uploaded it to YouTube and linked it to my Webnode.

To keep track of what I had done during the course of the project, I created a page called WORK TIMESTAMP which I used to document all the work I have done and on what day I had done that work.

Compared to my projects last year I think I have improved quite a bit as I was able to complete the work before the deadline unlike previous years, and I hope to keep improving, There were some bits of work that I had missed but I was able to catch up with them before the deadline had hit.
